The Tao of a Vicarious Journey

First Impressions of Sydney

Beautiful, young, vibrant, energetic, spectacular!

We arrived on April 9th, after a grueling yet smooth flight from the West Coast of the USA.

As soon as we dropped the luggage at our hotel, located by the Quay, we hit the ground running and went to the Sydney Opera House to visit this wonder and eat something to replenish our drained stomachs and throats. Soon after, we jumped on a ferry and started our research.

We spent the next couple of days wandering around, discovering the city and its corners. In particular, we really liked the area around Darling Harbor, Chinatown, Bondi beach, and the Australian Museum. At sea life, we had a blast drawing fishes, sharks and submarines, scanning and including them in the virtual aquarium!!!!!

We even had time to catch up with Jesus, a great friend whom we had met in San Francisco. He was really sweet and took us to the wholesale fish market where we gave ourselves a little feast of fresh fish and seafood!
