The Tao of a Vicarious Journey

Amazing Taronga Zoo

What a wonderful day!

Today, we woke up at c.6am. We stretched, left the bed and did some activities with the kids.

Afterwards, we went to see our friend Mr. Zafar, who is one of the highlights of our trip so far. A truly kind, generous and knowledgable Fijian who has adopted us (and especially the kids) and is looking after us like true family. Following his directions, we took the ferry from Wharf 2 at the Quay towards Taronga.IMG_3771

We spent the entire day at Taronga Zoo in a truly unforgettable day. We were completely in the flow as a family. The kids were absolutely incredible and the Zoo is one of the best we have seen so far.

We saw everything you may expect from Australia and this part of the world, including kangaroos, koalas, crocs, reptiles, etc

At night, we came back to the Quay and stopped to devour a delicious pizza, since we had been so engaged in the experience that forgot to eat!

Mark Twain

“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one’s lifetime.”
Mark Twain, The Innocents Abroad/Roughing It
